Sandwich faceoff in West Virginia's Coopers Rock State Forest. Facing left we have a half-eaten cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and mayo. Facing right are the last bites of a sloppy joe. Both $1.

The Savage Land

The eating of a birthday T-bone steak, during and after. I believe the top photo captures the essence of scarfing (note the curled lip so as to provide larger orifice for greater meat input) while the bottom shows the naked carnage effected. The presence of two plates proves an accidentally ironic touch.

A Spoonful of Sugar

A spoonful of #41 (red coconut curry with tofu) into the willing mouth at Esan Thai on Kirkwood Ave., dinnertime. Foreground: #43, red curry with various mixed vegetables and tofu.

The Food Pornographers

The classic "I'm stuffing myself glassy-eyed with ice cream" shot, a perennial favorite. This photograph was taken on a hot summer's afternoon in the Jiffy Treet ice cream shop on Kirkwood. I believe it was a single-scoop mint chocolate chip in a sugar cone.

Afternoon in People's Park

Two kids eating in the functional sculpture at People's Park. They had a couple of green apples in hand - a Biblically appropriate start to this eating photos blog. They were quite nice about having their picture taken.
